SimPal and 'Social Prescribing' in the community

One of the hottest topics in healthcare today is ‘Social Prescribing!’ It is all about working in the community to show what resources are out there on your own doorstep and get people working together. Strange as it sounds there are many people offering incredibly new and innovative services for people affected by cancer, that people just don’t know about. Most of these services are free too.

Talking about our SimPal service in Oxfordshire

We love working in the community and talking with people who are either using our service or haven’t even heard of us. There are so many wonderful services available now that struggle to get their name out there as they have no marketing budget. Also the large cancer charities show no desire to share anything that is not branded by them. Growing your audience organically is certainly slower but there is nothing more powerful than engaging directly with you audience.

These events are also a great way of finding new collaborations with charities that are in the same situation. We have created several incredible collaborations already this year, and look out for more!
